Barbara explains, “I had been working in the recruitment industry for some time specialising in the industrial and commercial sectors and one of the areas I was keen to expand into was the leisure and retail sectors. The move to Australia was the ideal opportunity to gain experience in these new areas; the Brisbane coast has a thriving leisure and retail industry both vital for the area.”
On a trip home Barbara was inspired by the changes happening in Plymouth and decided the time was right to bring that expertise back to the UK. New developments, the opening of Drake Circus mall and the arrival of new hotels were boosting tourism and bringing new high quality conference, exhibition and event facilities to the City.
